Future Chefs in the Making

The 6th graders had their practical exam last October 15, 2009 in the Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) class of Sir Carlo Concha. The class was divided into 4 groups and each had to cook a dish assigned to them: Pinakbet (a vegetable dish), Chicken Adobo (chicken in soy sauce and vinegar), Monggo Guisado with Malunggay (a vegetable dish), or Pochero (a chicken with vegetables dish). Sir Carlo taught these students during the quarter how to cook dishes that they usually eat at home. It is hoped that they can help their mothers with cooking family meals.
