First Holy Communion

It was a meaningful day for 37 Grade 3 students, 22 of whom are Tapulanga Foundation scholars, last February 16,2013 when they received the Body of Christ for the first time.  Held at Our Lady of the Nativity Chapel in Hacienda Tinihaban #1, Silay City, Philippines, the venue of the children's First Holy Communion is very close to the school site.

Rev. Fr. Jonathan G. Borromeo, the parish priest of Brgy. Tanza, Silay City, officiated the very meaningful and solemn occasion. After Mass, Mrs. Andy Ledesma-Segovia, St. Francis of Assisi School’s President and Micmic Golez,  the school’s Administrator and Tapulanga Foundation’s Executive Director, distributed certificates and gave each First Communicant a rosary. The children's parents were also present and prepared snacks for them and guests.
