Sharing Our Blessings

St. Francis of Assisi School of Silay City, thru the efforts of Tapulanga Foundation, have been richly blessed for several years already with a constant donation of books for the school library from different donors in the Philippines and for the most part, from U.S.A.

The students have grown to enjoy reading that the Book Lovers Club decided to donate of the older books, those that most students have read already, to a nearby public school which has barely a handful of children's reading books.

Hence, last July 19, 2011, one thousand books were donated to the students of Adela Elementary School. It is our hope that these books will allow more children to develop a love for reading.

In August, another one thousand books will be donated by the club to another nearby public school, Cuaycong Elementary School.

Another Wish List Granted!

A MUCH HAPPY SURPRISE TO US when Tapulanga Foundation received an email from one of the donors saying that her boyfriend wants to donate a laptop to the teachers of St. Francis of Assisi School of Silay City!
THANK YOU MR. PATRICK PETERS
for donating a laptop of which our school principal is using
and shares with other teachers as well.

And thank you as well for a new printer for our Computer laboratory, a much needed equipment as well in school as we only have 2 printers right now, with more than 20 teachers and staff using to print their weekly lesson plans and reports and more than 150 students using to print school reports.

A Donation of National Geographic Magazines to the School Library
