It Can Wait: Yes to Life and No to Premarital Sex

"It Can Wait" is the theme of the Sex Education seminar held last July 23, 2009 in SFAS and attended by the third and fourth year students. The seminar is designed by Dr. Bien Eli Nillos, MD and 8 volunteer nurses from Candoni, Negros Occidental helped him facilitate the program.

Its aim is to promote sexual health, to provide accurate information about human sexuality, to provide an opportunity for value clarification, to provide skills to improve interpersonal relationships, and to assist in exercising responsibility in one's sexual life, including acquiring healthy behaviors and attitudes regarding sexual behavior. The Sex Education Seminar hopefully opened up the participants to the idea of talking about sex in a productive way, especially with their parents and hopefully encouraged them to think twice before engaging in premarital sexual relations. (Sir JR Abello, 3rd year adviser)
