Two Very Special Awards

For the first time in the school's history, SFAS proudly gave two very special awards (in the form of a medallion) to the graduates during the 40th Commencement Exercise last April 1, 2009.

The first award is the ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI AWARD. This award is given to a graduating student in recognition of his/her simple and prayerful leadership in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi's example. The St. Francis of Assisi Award was give to Romnick Sadio.

The second award is the MARIETTA LEDESMA AWARD. The founder of SFAS was a woman who did very ordinary things in an extraordinary way. Her great love and dedication to help the less fortunate is worthy of emulation. This award is given to a graduating student who most closely approximates the life and spirit of Mrs. Ledesma. The Mariette Ledesma Award was given to Raquel Medina.
