The Philippine Madrigal Singers showcased their incredible talent once again in Bacolod City as the group sang beautiful Filipino
music at the main entrance of the Provincial Capitol of Negros Occidental last
January 21, 2013.
Led
by the direction and choirmaster Mark Anthony Carpio, this highly acclaimed
champions, after winning the Grand Prix for Choral Singing in 1997 and
2007, has produced a wide array of various styles in music and a unique set–up
while singing.
This 2013, as they celebrate “Going for the Gold: 50th
Anniversary Outreach Concert Tour," ten local choirs in Negros, such as the University of St. La Salle Chorale, West Negros University Chorale, Colegio de San Agustin Bacolod Chorale, Team KKK, Negros Mission Community, and our very own St. Francis of Assisi School of Silay City Chorale, were privileged to sing together with the Philippine Madrigal Singers during the Grand Chorale Performance with MADZ.
The SFAS Chorale was the only group consisting of grade school and high school students who performed that afternoon. The school also received a Certificate of Appreciation for joining the said event.
A chance of a lifetime experience once again for our young talents as they were given the opportunity to sing among very talented Negrosanon singers and the world-class Philippine Madrigal Singers!
