SILVER AND BRONZE MEDALS FOR RAQUEL MEDINA AND MIA JOY VILLANUEVA IN DECEMBER PALARO ARCHERY COMPETITION

Raquel Medina and Mia Joy Villanueva, third year high school students, placed second and third respectively in this year's Provincial Athletic Meet [Palarong Panlalawigan] held in Bacolod on Dec. 10-12. Raquel was awarded a silver medal in the 30- and 25-meter categories plus a third medal for total aggregate score. Mia Joy won a bronze medal in the 30- and 25-meter categories and also for overall points. Their win offers them an opportunity to represent the province of Negros Occidental in the forthcoming regional meet to be held in Antique.

Raquel and Mia Joy are members of the six-month old Archery Club at the School set up by Sir Matthew Ledesma with the help and support of the Negros Toxophilites Guild.
