Tanza, Silay City, officiated the very meaningful and solemn occasion. After
Mass, Mrs. Andy Ledesma-Segovia, St. Francis of Assisi School’s President and
Micmic Golez, the school’s Administrator
and Tapulanga Foundation’s Executive Director, distributed certificates and gave each
First Communicant a rosary. The children's parents were also present and
prepared snacks for them and guests.

First Holy Communion
It was a
meaningful day for 37 Grade 3 students, 22 of whom are Tapulanga Foundation scholars, last February 16,2013 when they received the Body of Christ for the first
time. Held at Our Lady of the Nativity
Chapel in Hacienda Tinihaban #1, Silay City, Philippines, the venue of the
children's First Holy Communion is very close to the school site.

Proudly Franciscans
It is the school's pride and joy when alumni visit their alma mater.
Paul John Diaz (Class of 2010 and was a Tapulanga Foundation scholar) is now in his final year
in John B. Lacson College Foundation taking up Marine Engineering.
Mark Pollen Parrenas (Class of 2011) is also a graduating student of the
Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), Visayas campus,
majoring in Computer Engineering Technology.
As part of their school's requirement under the Supervised Industrial Training class,
Mark is now helping out in the Computer Laboratorary of SFAS for 20 weeks,
doing troubleshooting and maintenance work and helping out the students, faculty and staff
with computer concerns and needs.

in the Marian Missionaries of the Holy Cross Seminary in Silay City.
